Payback

A natural disaster struck Louisiana. I'm curious to know how much re-housing, and aid monies are being pledged by the peoples and governments of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand? What? NONE? How is that possible? After all of the aid we've given them?

Maybe they can't afford anything. Yet. Maybe those countries are all still recovering from their own flooding. Fair enough. Then what about our friends, countries that have NOT had any killer storms lately? Japan, Germany, Britain? Are they helping us out? No? Then what about our Canadian neighbors? They're our biggest trading partner. Cajuns came from Canada. Surely Canada is sending some foreign aid to help us out, eh!

Or Mexico? Louisiana isn't far from Mexico. They share a gulf. Surely Mexico is helping us out, right?

What about France? They sold us Louisiana. They must want to help out the folks living in their old 'hood, no?

Anyone? No? Selfish foreigners!!
